Understanding Price Protection for Oil & Propane in 2020

What types of heating oil and propane price protection plans are available?

Snow’s is pleased to offer two price protection plans to our heating oil and propane customers: the Budget Plan and the Pre-Pay Program. Each plan offers significant benefits to help make managing your heating oil or propane costs simpler.

How does the Budget Plan work?

If you’d like to spread your annual heating costs into even monthly payments, this is the plan for you. Here’s how it works:

• You determine the total gallons you would like to purchase for the upcoming heating season.
• Then, we will divide the total cost for fuel and Price Protection Insurance into 12 equal payments.
• Snow’s automatically delivers your heating fuel when you need it.
• You receive the same predictable statement every month. Payment is due in full on the 19th of each month from July 2020–June 2021.

How does the Pre-Pay Program work?

If you’d prefer to take care of your heating costs for the year all at once, you can easily do so with the Pre-Pay Program.

• You determine the total gallons you would like to purchase for the upcoming heating season.
• Your capped price will be based on your payment method. Included in this price is a small Price Protection Insurance.
• You pay for your total gallons of heating oil or propane in full; Snow’s automatically delivers your fuel when you need it.

Can you explain how Price Protection Insurance works?

Price Protection Insurance is offered with both plans to allow us to set a cap on the price per gallon for your heating oil or propane. With this cap, we are still able to offer you a steady fuel price no matter how the market fluctuates. Price protection is factored into the monthly Budget Plan payment or into the full Pre-Pay Program payment.

How can I sign up for a Heating Fuel Budget Plan or Pre-Pay Program with Price Protection?

You can enroll in your plan of choice right here on our website. You can securely sign up online or download and print the enrollment form and submit it to our office.

In years past, we have been able to sit down in person and assist with any sign-up questions you may have. Due to COVID-19, our office is not accepting walk-in customers. Our preferred payment method is credit card or ACH, but checks are still accepted.
